| At every event I attended, I heard a consistent message from residents: the rising cost of property taxes are unaffordable and unsustainable. That is why I am working closely with President Toni Preckwinkle’s Property Tax Reform Group working group to develop long-term solutions to our property tax system. I am committed to working with my colleagues on the Board of Commissioners and in the Illinois State Legislature to develop meaningful solutions to our property tax system that will alleviate the financial burden on our working and middle class families. From small family-run businesses to large-scale operations, concessionaires of all sizes can apply for a daily or annual Concession Permit to sell food, beverages, goods, and services from concession stands, push carts, and food trucks at preserves across Cook County.
