Anthony Quezada, Commissioner
Anthony Joel Quezada is a lifelong Chicagoan and was raised on Chicago’s northwest side in Logan Square. Anthony was elected as commissioner of Cook County’s 8th district in 2022 and he proudly represents over 300,000 residents across Logan Square, Avondale, Humboldt Park, Irving Park, Hermosa, Belmont Cragin, Portage Park, and Dunning.
As commissioner, Anthony has worked to provide property tax relief to thousands of homeowners, introduced and passed Cook County’s Paid Leave ordinance to expand workers’ benefits, secured funding to provide dental health services at the Belmont Cragin Health Center, secured $1.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds for infrastructure improvements on Fullerton Avenue, expanded the scope of the Cook County Public Defender to represent undocumented residents of Cook County in immigration court outside of Chicago, and much more.
Anthony serves on 16 committees and is the vice-chair of the Committee of Labor and the Committee of Contract Compliance. As a commissioner on the Board of Commissioners for the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Anthony has been a strong advocate for environmental protections, rapidly converting toward renewable energy systems, and has facilitated more engagement and access for community members to the Forest Preserve system, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Brookfield Zoo Chicago.
Anthony is a proud product of Chicago Public Schools and attended Goethe Elementary School and Lane Tech High School. Anthony is the youngest and the first openly gay Latino commissioner to be elected to the Board of Commissioners.

Kristen, Chief of Staff
Kristen has lived in Logan Square for 16 years and is excited to use the skills she has built as a college counselor, political organizer, and mutual aid volunteer to work for the 8th District office. Kristen enjoys being able to connect folks with resources that will make an impact on their lives, and she is passionate about fighting structural inequities. Outside of work, she loves riding her bike, reading, and hanging out with her partner, 2 cats, and dog.

Cesareo, Community Outreach Director
Cesareo was raised in Irving Park and grew up appreciating the important work government workers do. His grandfather worked as a streets and sanitation garbage truck driver, and his mother was an educator in CPS.
As an active community organizer, Cesareo deeply loves building up our community’s ability to support one another and fight for a brighter and better future for all.

Bryan, County Services Advocate
Bryan was drawn to join the 8th District team because he wanted to help the community in which he lives. What he enjoys most about working for the office is meeting residents and hearing their stories. When Bryan is not working, he enjoys exploring new neighborhoods and searching for his new favorite restaurant.
